PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the fourth respondent for illegally preventing the petitioners from performing their duties towards the Arulmigu Muniyappa Swamy Temple in Poochinaickenpatti, Begampur, Dindigul Town, Dindigul District, to proceed against the illegal occupation of temple Praharam, based on the petitioner's complaint dated 24.02.2025.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the fourth respondent for illegally preventing the petitioners from performing their duties in the Arulmigu Muniyappa Swamy Temple at Poochinaickenpatti, Begampur, Dindigul Town, Dindigul District, to proceed against the illegal 2/6

occupation of temple Praharam, based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 24.02.2025.

2.When the matter is taken up for heairng, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that after receipt of the petitioners' complaint, the same was forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul Town, for conducting appropriate enquiry. Therefore, after receipt of the decision from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul Town, they will act in accordance with law. 3.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondent, is inclined to pass order.

4.Since the petitioners' complaint was forward to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul Town and the same is pending with the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul Town, this Court suo-motu impleads the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dindigul Town, Dindigul, as fifth respondent to this petition. Therefore, Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment in the cause title.

5.Mr.M.Senthil Ayyanar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the newly impleaded fifth respondent. 6.In view of the above, the fifth respondent is directed to conduct enquiry upon the petitioners' complaint dated 24.02.2025, which was forwarded by the third respondent and take appropriate action, within a period of one week, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to both the parties, in accordance with law. 7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 21.04.2025 Internet :Yes Index :Yes/No NCC :Yes/No LR 4/6
