ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the proceedings pending in Na.Ka.A5/5365/10, dated 14.10.2020, wherein, the petitioner has sought for the disbursal of the rent amount that has already been deposited with the accrued interest. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the tenant had already deposited the rent of Rs.89,675/- (Rupees Eighty Nine Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy Five only) for the period from 30.12.2010 to 13.11.2014, when the rent control proceedings were pending. The petitioner made an application / representation before the respondent, on 07.07.2020, seeking for permission to withdraw the amount with accrued interest. The said application was entertained by the respondent in Na.Ka.A5/5365/10, dated 14.10.2020. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not passed any orders till date and aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court, seeking for appropriate directions.

3.Heard Mr.S.M.Anantha Murugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents.

W.P.(MD).No.11347 of 2021 4.Taking into consideration the facts and the circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to pass orders in the proceedings in Na.Ka.A5/5365/10, dated 14.10.2020, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of this order. 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
