ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner, dated 20.02.2022, in view of the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1 at Madurai in Crl.M.P.No.757 of 2022, dated 18.05.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint against one Muthukumar, Sub Inspector of Police, Chennai Sub Urban, alleging that he is involved in conspiracy, cheating and mis-appropriation of Rs.7 Crores. Since the respondent police has not taken any action on his complaint, the petitioner has filed a petition in Crl.M.P.No.757 of 2022, before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, under Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C., against the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch Police Station, Madurai City. Then, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, directed the respondent police, by order dated 18.05.2022 in Crl.M.P.No.757 of 2022, to register an FIR, conduct an investigation and file final report. But, till now no steps have been taken. Hence, the petitioner filed this petitioner.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the respondent police is ready to consider the matter.

4.Recording, the same, the respondent police is directed to register an FIR, conduct investigation and file final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
