O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

2. Issuance of notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3. The writ petitioner is a resident of Ambathurai. He alleges that in the petition mentioned channel / river in survey No.258/1, there are encroachments and that the same have not been cleared.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions from the officials concerned submitted that on 30.09.2024 itself part of the encroachment was removed and that the remaining encroachments 2/4

3 W.P.(MD)NO.9829 OF 2026 also will be fully cleared by the first week of June 2026.

5. Recording this undertaking given by Mr.P.Mohan Dass, Assistant Engineer, Manjalaru Subdivision and Mr.K.Nagaraj, Assistant Engineer, Nanganjiyar Subdivision through the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
