Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to produce the body or person of the detenue namely Rajeswari, W/o.Periyasamy, aged 27 years now detained by the 3rd respondent before this Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) One Ayyammal, the petitioner herein has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that her daughter, namely, Rajeswari, aged 27 years, was missing from 20.10.2015. Therefore, a complaint has been preferred by the petitioner before the respondent police on 19.12.2015. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered in Crime No.295/2015 under 'woman missing'.

2. A status report has been filed by the respondents 1 and 2 stating that the detenue has eloped with the third respondent one Palanisamy. The case is under investigation and they are taking effective steps to trace the detenue.

3. Recording the said submission, we direct the respondents 1 and 2 to expedite the investigation.

4. With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
