Prayer: This Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to waive the payment of lease amount for the lockdown period from 24.03.2020 to 31.09.2020 consequently direct the respondent to extend lease period in the petitioner's favour in respect of Weekly Market Entry fee collection situated at Dindigul Corporation, Dindigul District within the time stipulated by this Court by considering his representation dated 15.04.2021. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 15.04.2021, wherein, the petitioner has sought for extension of lease period and also for adjustment of the payment made by him during the lockdown period.

2. Heard Mr.B.Arun, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Lawrance, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 15.04.2021 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
