O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court dated 21.07.2025 made in W.P.(MD).No.19752 of 2025.

2.Today (05.06.2026), when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.K. Porkodi, learned counsel appearing for the respondent, produced a copy of the proceedings dated 04.06.2026 in e.f.vz;:69270/ep2/1/2025 and submitted that the respondent has complied with the order passed by this Court. In the said proceedings, the representation submitted by the petitioner on 20.06.2025 has been considered and the claim of the petitioner was negatived on the ground that there is no vacancy available for the post of Assistant Professor (Pharmacognosy) as on date.

3.However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a vacancy is in fact available and that the impugned proceedings have been issued on an incorrect ground of non-availability of vacancy.

4.It is seen from the order dated 21.07.2025, that this Court had specifically observed that it had not gone into the merits of the matter and had only directed the respondents to consider the representation dated 20.06.2025 submitted by the petitioner. In such view of the matter, the correctness or otherwise of the reasons assigned in the proceedings dated 04.06.2026 cannot be gone into in the present contempt proceedings.

5.In view of the fact that the respondents have considered the representation submitted by the petitioner and issued proceedings dated 04.06.2026, this Court is satisfied that the respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court.

6.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition stands closed. However, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings dated 04.06.2026, if so advised, in the manner known to law.
