O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the petitioner's daughter, by name, Hemalatha, aged about 18 years before this Court and set her at liberty.
2.The petitioner is the father of the detenue. It is his case that his daughter Hemalatha has recently completed 12th Standard on 01.07.2021. When he way for his work, she found missing and hence, he lodged a complaint with the second respondent and the same was registered in CSR No.243/2021. H.C.P.(MD) No.966 of 2021 to secure the detenue, the present petition has been filed. 3.It is further alleged that the third respondent has kidnapped his daughter on 01.07.2021 and he has detained her in a secured place.
4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the detenue appeared before this Court through video conferencing from the Public Prosecutor's Office. On enquiry, she would state that she is a major and she has love affair with the third respondent, who is also resident of the same village. It is further stated that presently, she is residing with her friend's house at Bodi and she wants to reside in the house of her grandmother Rajakani. According to the detenue, the petitioner is objecting the love affair with the third respondent. She is not willing to go with her father, the petitioner herein.
4.Recording the said statement, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
