: Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents to produce the body and person of the detenu by name Palanivel, son of Ponnaiah, aged 39 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] When the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions submitted that the body of the detenu was found near Pasumalai, Madurai. The deceased was identified by his wife. The Railway Police registered a case under Section 174 Cr.P.C and the body was sent for postmortem.

2. We have examined the wife of the detenu. According to her, it was a case of suicide.

3. In view of the above, no further adjudication is necessary. The Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above observation.
