Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the cultural function such as "Aadaal Padal" festival at about 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. on 30.07.2018 at Arulmigu Sri Patthirakalliamman Thirukovil is situated at Soudarpatti, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District and further direct the respondent to give adequate police protection for the above said programme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2018.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the cultural function such as "Aadaal Padal" festival at about 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. on 30.07.2018 at Arulmigu Sri Patthirakalliamman Thirukovil is situated at Soudarpatti, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District and further direct the respondent to give adequate police protection for the above said programme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.07.2018, is directed to be considered and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that may be fixed by this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if the said representation dated 18.07.2018 is pending with the respondents, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

5.Considering the said circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 29.07.2018 and the petitioner is directed to produce a copy of the representation along with this order copy to the second respondent.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
