Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus for a direction, directing the Respondents No. 1 and 2 to remove the illegal encroachments made by Respondents No. 4 to 9 in public pathway situate in S. No. 845/3 at Ponnangudi Village, Kantiramnickam, post, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District within the timeframe stipulated by this Honble Court. [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Baskaran, learned Standing Counsel for Government, appearing for the respondent.

2.The Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging disobedience of the order in W.P.(MD) No.5223 of 2021, dated 26.04.2021. In the said Writ Petition, the respondent was directed to conduct inspection in the area and if there is any encroachment, she was directed to take appropriate action as expeditiously as possible.

Cont.P.(MD) No.923 of 2021 3.Mr.R.Baskaran, learned Standing Counsel for Government, appearing for the respondent submitted that due to pandemic situation action could not be taken and now lock down restrictions are removed and in case the Court directs, the authorities will take action at the earliest.

4.Therefore, we direct the respondent to take appropriate action in terms of the order dated 26.04.2015, in W.P.(MD) No.5223 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The Contempt Petition stands disposed of with the above direction.
