Respondents Prayer:Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or corpus of petitioner's relative namely Malarmathy, daughter of Arumugan, aged about 17 years, before this Court by securing her from the illegal custody of the 3rd respondent and handed over custody of the detenue to him.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN,J) The second respondent produced the detenue before us. We examined the petitioner, who is stated to be the relative of the detenue, and her father.

2. The detenue informed us that temporarily she was staying in a Child Orphanage at Thoothukudi. She is presently residing in her father's house. Her brother is also staying with her. The mother of the detenue is living separately.

3. The petitioner informed us that she is concerned only with the welfare of the detenue. She is also trying to help the detenue to come up in life.

4. The detenue informed us that she wanted to pursue her studies. Her certificates are presently with SRC Women's College, Trichy. We direct the SRC Women's College, Trichy, to hand over the certificates to the detenue forthwith.

5. The detenue is permitted to go along with her father by name Arumugam. It is open to the petitioner to visit the detenue.

6. The Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above observation.
