O R D E R

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabbadi Tournament on 29.04.2023 and 30.04.2023 at about 06.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m. at nearby Perumal Kovil, Parasakthi Nagar, Avaniyapuram, Madurai.

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. He would submit that due to the event of Chithirai festival, in Madurai City, the respondents are not in position to consider the representation made by the petitioner for the above said date. If the petitioner gives fresh representation by fixing the date after the Chithirai Festival, it may be considered by them positively. 3.Let the petitioner give fresh representation by fixing the date after 10.05.2023. On such representation being made, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass orders favourably, in view of the circular memorandum issued by teh Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019. 2/4

4.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
