This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Padmanabhapuram, Kanyakumari District to dispose of the case in C.C.No. 265 of 2019 within the stipulated period.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the accused in this case. Based on the complaint of the defacto complainant, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Cr.No.46 of 2019 against the petitioner and other accused persons. Though the case has been registered in the year 2019, so far trial has not been completed. Therefore, seeks for speedy disposal and this petition has been filed. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint of the defacto complainant/R2, a case has been registered in Cr.No.46 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 323, 379, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002. After completion of investigation, they have filed the charge sheet before the concerned Court. The case is posted for examination of witnesses. The respondent police is ready to produce the witnesses as directed by 2/4

the trial Court and co-operate to complete the trial proceedings. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and also considering the long pendency of the case, this Court hereby directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Padmanabhapuram, Kanyakumari District to complete the trial proceedings in C.C.No.265 of 2019 as early as possible without giving long adjournments, beyond 1 week.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
