O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed praying to direct the second and third respondents to conduct a Peace Meeting in regard to conduct of 'Asanam' Festival in St.John's Baptist Church, Puthiamputur, Thoothukudi District after consultation with respondents 5 to 7 in view of the chaos created by the eighth respondent to conduct 'Asanam' festival on 8/5/2015 instead of traditional customary date of 24/6/2015 till such meeting is conducted by the official respondents, no permission to be given for conducting function on 8/5/2015.

2. Mr.S.Kumar, Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. On instructions, he has submitted that the Inspector of Police, Puthiamputhur Police Station, Thoothukudi District has sent a letter dated 4/5/2015 to the Tahsildar, Ottapidaram with respect to the conduct of Peace Committee Meeting to resolve the date on which 'Asanam' festival has to be conducted and action has been taken in accordance with law.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, nothing survives in this writ petition and accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous and the said letter shall form part of the records. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also dismissed.
