4.Pandi 5.Suseela : Respondents PRAYER: Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first and second respondents to produce the body or person of the detenu namely Sarathkumar, S/o.Pandi, aged about 28 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.] The petitioner is the wife of the detenu viz., Sarathkumar S/o.Pandi. She had filed this Habeas Corpus Petition for production of her husband before this Court and set him at liberty.

2.It is stated in the petition that the petitioner and the detenu married on 22.08.2016 without the knowledge of the parents of the detenu and that on 26.08.2016, the parents of the detenu came to their house and forcibly took the detenu to their house and locked him inside the house, for which she sent a complaint to the third respondent on 30.08.2016.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the third respondent Police produced the detenu viz., Sarathkumar. When we enquired, the detenu told that he is willing to go with his wife viz., the petitioner herein. The said statement is recorded.

4. In view of the same, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, leaving it open to the detenu to choose his own way of life.
