2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who is the first accused in Crime No.772 of 2015 on the file of the first respondent police, facing charges under Sections 341, 172, 148, 323, 324, 506(ii) of IPC before the trial Court in C.C.No.82 of 2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the case was registered in the year 2015 and the charge sheet was taken cognizance in the year 2017, so far the trial proceedings is not completed.

3.Considering the oldness of the crime, there shall be a direction to the Learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Nagercoil, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.82 of 2017, pending on his file and dispose of the same, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
