PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.118 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 4(1)(a), 4(1)(i) and 4(1-A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.118 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 04.04.2023, when the respondent police were in surveillance, the petitioner along with another accused were found in illegal possession of 10 bottles of 180ml of Seamens Branch and they escaped from the scene of occurrence. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has 13 previous cases.

5. Heard both side and perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

6. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner has 13 previous cases, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
