Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner obtained passport in the year 2017. He has obtained employment opportunity in Kuwait. He therefore wants police clearance certificate.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner involved in Crime No.18 of 2019. Pendency of the criminal case at FIR stage is not a bar for issuing passport. Therefore, the police clearance certificate can be issued. However in the said certificate, the petitioner's involvement in the criminal case shall be mentioned.

4. The first respondent is directed to issue such certificate within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this direction to the first respondent, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
