Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents herein to produce the body or person of the petitioner's wife Mercedes Premalatha D/o.M.Ramesh, aged about 21 years before this Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) One M.Karthikumaran, the petitioner herein has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that his wife, namely, Mercedes https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Premalatha, aged 21 years, has been taken illegally by the respondents 3 and 4. Therefore, a complaint has been preferred by the petitioner before the respondent police on 05.09.2016.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing today, the parents, namely, the respondents 3 and 4, themselves, have produced the detenue, namely, Mercedes Premalatha. On our enquiry, she told that she is willing to go with her husband, namely, the petitioner. On further enquiry, she stated that on 14.01.2016, marriage was performed between the petitioner and the detenue and now, she is pregnant. When we enquired the parents of the detenue, they are also willing to send the detenue with the petitioner herein.

3. In such view of the matter, recording the submission of the detenue, this petition is closed by giving liberty to the detenue to choose her own way of life.
