PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.354 of 2013 on the file of the respondent Police within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.354 of 2013 on the file of the respondent Police.

2. The facts of the case are that the petitioner is a wife of the accused husband and there is a dispute between the accused husband and their relatives in connection with the demand of additional dowry from the petitioner. In pursuance of the dispute, the petitioner gave a complaint to the respondent Police on 02.09.2013 and a case was registered in Crime No.354 of 2013 for offences under Section 498(A) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Since the respondent Police has not completed the investigation and has not filed a final report, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that the investigation has been completed and final report has been filed before learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri. The case is posted for appearance of the accused on 06.07.2022.

4. I have considered the matter in the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for both the parties. Since https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.10070 of 2022 the investigation is completed and the charge sheet has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court and the case is posted for appearance of the accused, no further orders are required.

5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
