This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to direct the second respondent herein to provide necessary police protection to the petitioners' life and limb, in the light of their representation dated 06.05.2022, within the stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the third respondent is the father of the first petitioner. The petitioners fell in love with each other for the past two years, and few months ago, the petitioners' family members came to know about the said love. Hence the parents of the petitioners objected their love. However, they got married on 04.05.2022 at Trichy District. Therefore, the first petitioner gave a representation to the second respondent police for providing police protection on 06.05.2022. But, the respondent police has not taken any action. Crl.O.P.(MD) No.10267 of 2022 filed the present Criminal Original Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that after receiving the representation dated 06.05.2022, they enquired the matter and the mother of the first petitioner appeared in the police station and submitted that they will not interfere in the life of the petitioners. Therefore, the compliant is closed.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
