Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission for conducting Gramiya Naiyandi Melam and Oyilattam scheduled on 03.08.2018 and its consecutive program viz., Vizaiyattu Pottigal scheduled on 04.08.2018 and Annathanam and Children Nadana Nattiya Kalai Nikazchi scheduled on 05.08.2018 in pursuance to 97th year pongal festival of Arulmigu Aathi Sundara Vinayagar, Sri Sakthi Vinayagar, Sri Muthu Karuppasamy, Sri Sakthi Kaliamman, Sri Veerakaliamman, Sri Utchimahaliamman, Sri KasiviswanatharVisalatchiamman, Sri Dhakshinamoorthy, Sri Subramaniyasamy, Sri Anchineyar, Sri Durgaparameswariamman, Sri Karuppasamy and Sri Nagammal Temples situate at Ward No.77, Sundararajapuram, Madurai Town and consequently to provide adequate protection between 03.08.2018 to 05.08.2018 on the basis of the representation dated 18.07.2018.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission for conducting Gramiya Naiyandi Melam and Oyilattam scheduled on 03.08.2018 and its consecutive program viz., Vizaiyattu Pottigal scheduled on 04.08.2018 and Annathanam and Children Nadana Nattiya Kalai Nikazchi scheduled on 05.08.2018 in pursuance to 97th year pongal festival of Arulmigu Aathi Sundara Vinayagar, Sri Sakthi Vinayagar, Sri Muthu Karuppasamy, Sri Sakthi Kaliamman, Sri Veerakaliamman, Sri Utchimahaliamman, Sri Kasiviswanathar-Visalatchiamman, Sri Dhakshinamoorthy, Sri Subramaniyasamy, Sri Anchineyar, Sri Durgaparameswariamman, Sri Karuppasamy and Sri Nagammal Temples https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
situate at Ward No.77, Sundararajapuram, Madurai Town and consequently to provide adequate protection between 03.08.2018 to 05.08.2018 on the basis of the representation dated 18.07.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing the respondents.
3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation dated 16.07.2018 to the respondents. But, so far, no order has been passed on the said representation. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the aforesaid prayer.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the representation of the petitioner dated 16.07.2018 is directed to be considered and an order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if any direction is granted by this Court with regard to the consideration of the petitioner's representation, the same shall be considered in accordance with law. 6.In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 03.08.2018.
7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
