O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the the first respondent to appoint the investigating officer as per Rule of 7(1) Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 and consequently directing the second respondent to file the final report in Crime No.6 of 2021 dated 01.01.2021 on the file of the third respondent.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based upon the complaint given by the petitioner, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kovilpatti took up investigation and filed a final report before the concerned court on 7.6.2021 and the same has not been taken on file so far.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the Rules, arrangement has been made and the copy of the appointment order may be circulated to him.

4. There shall be a direction to the Special Court, Tuticorin, who deals with the SC/ST case to process the final report within 3 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meantime, a copy of the appointment order be circulated to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
