: Respondent Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent to produce the body or person of the detenu, namely, Sathya (aged 27 years), D/o.Subramanian, before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) The petitioner, by name, K.Subramanian, has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition stating that his daughter, by name Sathya, aged about 27 years, was missing from 04.09.2016. The petitioner has also given a complaint to the respondent on 05.09.2016 and based on which, a case was registered in Crime No.233 of 2016 as woman missing case on the same day. However, since the detenu has not been secured so far, he is before this Court with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent. We have also perused the records carefully.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that on enquiry, it reveals that the petitioner's daughter, namely, Sathya has eloped with one Balamurugan and now, they are in Kodaikanal and the case is under progress. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Recording the above said statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, we close the Habeas Corpus Petition by giving a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation.
