O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner is the father of one Umavathi, aged 16 years. Her date of birth is 29.10.1999. According to the petitioner, the detenu has been found missing from 30.08.2016. In this regard, a case has been registered in Crime No.287 of 2016.

2. Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for hearing, the minor girl was produced before this Court by the second respondent. When we enquired her, she told us that she went out of her parental home on her own accord and is staying in the house of her friend, by name Mahalakshmi and she was not kidnapped by anyone. She further told that she is doing B.A., Degree Course in Kamarajar College at Thoothukudi. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Having regard to the said submission made, we find no merit in this petition. The Habeas Corpus Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. The minor girl is entrusted to the custody of the petitioner.
