This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the property situated at S.No.166/6B and 166/6C measuring an extent of 1 acre and 65 cents by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 04.03.2020.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that the properties in S.Nos.166/6B and 166/6C have been categorized in the revenue records as 'Tharisu'. In view of the same, there is no scope for granting patta in the name of the petitioner.
3. In the light of the above submission, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. If the petitioner claims that they have an independent title over the subject property, the petitioner has to work out their remedy before the competent civil Court and establish their right.
4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
