ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

2.The second respondent is none other than the son of the writ petitioner. The writ petitioner has filed a petition under Rule 3 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules before the first respondent. Her grievance is that for more than five months, the matter is kept pending. The second respondent is said to have been served. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's petition on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter and all the contentions of the second respondent are entirely left open.
