ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenue, who is the wife of the petitioner and to set her liberty.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was married to the detenue in the year 2014 and out of the said wedlock, there are two female children and one male child. The detenue was working in a hotel. All of a sudden from 21.03.2026, the detenue was not able to be traced and hence, a complaint was given before the second respondent. Since no effective steps were taken by the second respondent, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed before this Court.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the detenue developed a relationship with someone and had eloped with him.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner and the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to follow the guidelines given by this Court in the case of K. Sukumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar, reported in 2018(2) -L.W. (Crl) -636 and proceed with the case and find the whereabouts of the detenue as expeditiously as possible.
