ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to grant permission to conduct temple festival to be scheduled on 24.04.2026 and 25.04.2026 (Chithirai month 11th and 12th day) at Kattayanoor Sri. Muniyarasa Temple, Kattayanoor, Edayanvilai, Thoothukudi District and to use the Lighting and Sounding effects with permitted speakers and also to give adequate police protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2026 within a stipulated period as framed by this Court.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner's representation is under consideration and that, even prior to this, a peace committee meeting had been proposed to be conducted between the petitioner and the rival parties before the fourth respondent. The petitioner has also been intimated in this regard and has received a copy of the said notice on 17.03.2026.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available record.
4. In view of the fact that a peace committee has already been initiated and is likely to be conducted shortly, the fourth respondent is directed to conclude the peace committee proceedings on or before 20.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 08.04.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No sm Note: Issue order copy on 17.04.2026.
