ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent, Tahsildar, Manmangalam Taluk office at Karur District, to rectify the error in computerised patta Nos.4770 and 4763 and sub divided survey numbers 406/3B4A1 and 406/3B4A2 which had been wrongly given in the computerised chitta as survey number 406/3A4A1 and 406/3A4A2. The petitioner had given a representation on 27.01.2023 and again on 28.03.2023.

2. This is an issue which can be examined only by the respondent / Tahsildar. The title of the petitioner is not being disputed. However, the subdivided survey numbers had been wrongly given and the petitioner seeks rectification of it.

A direction is given to the respondent herein to issue notice to the petitioner and direct the petitioner to produce relevant documents relating to his title for the property and also all other revenue records and correlate the same with the entries in the revenue records available with the revenue department and take a considered decision. The entire exercise may be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
