ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.GOVINDARAJ, J.) The petitioner is the father of one Ms.Arivuselvi, aged 21 years. It is alleged that on 15.09.2016, at about 12 noon, four unknown persons came to the house of the petitioner and demanded the petitioner to send his daughter along with one Saravanan, who fell in love with his daughter. However, the petitioner warned them and thereafter, they left the place. It is further alleged that after sometime, the petitioner's daughter was found missing. Therefore, the petitioner preferred a complaint before the respondent police. Since, the petitioner's daughter has not been secured so far, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. When the matter was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the complaint has been registered and during investigation, it came to light that one Saravanakumar Pandian said to have married the petitioner's daughter, namely, Arivuselvi and both of them are happily living in New Delhi and the investigation is under process.

4. Since we find that there is no illegal detention, the relief sought for cannot be granted. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed, however, with a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation.
