Respondents PRAYER: The petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the detenue namely Raja Meena, D/o.Paramasivam, aged about 19 years from the illegal custody of the third respondent before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM,J.) The petitioner has sought production of his daughter Raja Meena, aged about 19 years.

2.Heard both sides.

3.The second respondent has traced the detenue in the company of one Muthuraj, brother of the third respondent at Viruthachalam and thus, the second respondent has produced her before this Court along with her husband, the said Muthuraj. The petitioner and his wife are also present. The detenue informs that she is in love with the said Muthuraj for several years and that the same was not accepted by the parents on either side. Her parents were taking steps to get married to her to another person and hence, she had required Muthuraj, who was working at Oman to immediately come back, which he did and thereafter, she had left the parental home and entered upon marriage with him. The petitioner and his wife desire that the detenue be with them till she completed her education. The detenue has not agreed to and informs that she wishes to keep the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

company of her husband Muthuraj.

4.Recording the above position, this Habeas Corpus Petition shall stand closed.
