This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Ramanathapuram to dispose of the case in C.C.No. 123 of 2024 within the stipulated period.

2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Cr.No.28 of 2023 against the accused persons. Though the case has been registered in the year 2023, so far trial has not been commenced. Therefore, seeks for speedy disposal this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case has been registered in Cr.No.28 of 2023 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 498(A), 506(i) IPC r/w Section 4 of TNPHW Act and Section 4 of Dowry Harassment Act. After completion of investigation, they have filed the charge sheet before the concerned Court. The case is posted for examination of witnesses 1 to 5. However, the respondent police is 2/4

ready to produce the witnesses as directed by the trial Court and cooperate to complete the trial proceedings. 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and also considering the long pendency of the case, this Court hereby direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Ramanathapuram to complete the trial proceedings in C.C.No.123 of 2024 as early as possible without giving long adjournments, beyond 15 days.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
