ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings in R.C.No.10597/2020/K.4, dated 21.10.2020 issued by the 2nd respondent and the consequential order in Na.Ka.No.10597/2020/K4, dated 18.01.2021 passed by the second respondent with a consequential direction to the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service as 'Block Development officer', within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the larger relief has been sought for by the petitioner, now, he confines the prayer that it would suffice if the disciplinary proceedings, which is pending with the respondents, is directed to be concluded within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2/4

Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner, as per the procedure contemplated under the applicable Act and Rules, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

5. With the above observations and directions, the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
