Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.S.Manikandan, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) takes notice on behalf of the second respondent.

2. By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent to release the petitioner's Mini Bus bearing Registration No.TN-57-E-2799, which is in the custody of the second respondent forthwith.

4. The petitioner has given a representation dated 22.04.2024 after her vehicle was seized on 21.04.2024 for the alleged violation of route permit.

5. The petitioner's representation is predicated on the failure to follow the requirements of Section 207(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

6. The first respondent is therefore directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2024, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of 15 days from today on merits and in accordance with law, for releasing the vehicle.

7. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
