O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to issue documents missing Certificate based on CSR No.635 of 2023, dated. 08.08.2023.

According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the property in S.F.Nos.179/4 and 180/5 and he purchased the same through sale deed, dated 19.01.2012 bearing Document No.424 of 2012, registered on the file of the Joint II, Sub Registrar, Madurai South. While so, on 04.08.2023, when he was traveling in two wheeler along with parent document in Document No.1457/1981 to meet the land broker for the sale of the property near Mariamman Theppakulam, Madurai, the documents were missing. Thereafter, the petitioner searched the documents and he was unable to trace out them. Therefore, he lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 08.08.2023 through online and they also assigned CSR No.635 of 2023. The petitioner also made paper publication on 16.08.2023 as about the missing of the documents. Thereafter, the second respondent failed to issue appropriate certificate 2/5

for the missing of the documents. Therefore, he sent a representation, dated 10.03.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner lodged a complaint on 08.08.2023 and they also issued CSR No.635 of 2023. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation, dated 10.03.2025 and the same is under consideration. They will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of 15 days.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition and the second respondent also admitted the receipt of the representation from the petitioner and the same is under consideration by the second respondent, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 10.03.2025 and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of 15 days from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
