ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue a legal heirship certificate based on the representation made by the petitioner on 30.06.2021, wherein, the petitioner has sought for issuance of legal heirship certificate.

2. The petitioner had applied for legal heirship certificate after the demise of his father late Rajamani on 12.06.2021. According to the petitioner, the said Rajamani had left behind nine legal heirs. The name of all the legal heirs was mentioned in the application that was submitted by the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent has not issued any certificate till date and therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.P.Ponraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD).No.11468 of 2021 representation made by the petitioner on 30.06.2021 and take a decision with regard to issuance of legal heirship certificate within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
