O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 18.05.2022 relating to the land in Survey No.20/7B in Sinthalaikattai Revenue Village, Kurukkusaalai, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2. It is also stated by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that the first respondent had called for a report from the second respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the Tahsildar had completed his enquiry and forwarded the report.

4. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that further report has been sought. 2/4

A direction is therefore given to the second respondent to complete the enquiry as directed by the first respondent on or before 30.06.2023 and on receipt of the report, the first respondent has to pass final orders on or before 31.07.2023. Let them keep in mind the principles of natural justice and pass orders with reasons.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
