O R D E R

This petition has been filed to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 30.04.2015 of the petitioner seeking removal of his name from the history sheet profile maintained by the respondent.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. The petitioner was originally arrayed as an accused in Crime No.1274 of 2012 and thereafter, his name was removed. Based upon the case registered against the petitioner in the aforesaid crime number, his name was included in the history sheet profile.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there was no review nor there is any application of mind as the petitioner's name was duly removed, that too, e is said to have involved only in one case.

5. This Court finds considerable force in the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. Except the said crime number, there is no other case and even in the said case also, his name was removed. There was no attempt to remove the name of the petitioner from the history sheet pertaining to the petitioner.

6. Taking into consideration of the limited scope of the prayer sought for and in the light of the discussion made above, this Court directs the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 30.04.2015 towards removal of his name from the history sheet, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
