ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to allow him to attend the written exam on 23.05.2015 in the open quota category for the post of Sub Inspector of Police (Taluk) as per the notification No.01/2015 dated 08.02.2015 issued by the 1st respondent.

2. The impediment which prevents the petitioner from participating in the written examination is on account of his date of birth, which has been entered in the records as 17.06.1985. As per the said date of birth, the petitioner is over aged. Now the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner seeks for alteration of his date birth as 17.06.1976. This cannot be accepted, since in all the records, the petitioner's date of birth has been entered as 17.06.1985. In similar circumstance, this Court in WP(MD)No.3015 of 2015 dated 05.03.2015, dismissed the Writ Petition.

3. In the light of the above, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
