3.M.Ganesan : Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first and second respondents to produce body of detenue, namely Priyanka, aged about 23 years, D/o.K.Andy, from the ilelgal detention of third respondent and hand over her custody to the petitioner.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner, who is the father of one Priyanka, aged 23 years, has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition, alleging that his daughter has been found missing from 03.10.2016 onwards. In this regard, a case has also been registered in Crime No.134 of 2016 on 12.10.2016 for woman missing. Since the detenue was not rescued by the police, the petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the detenue along with the third respondent had consumed poison at Coimbatore https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and both of them are taking treatment in a Hospital at Coimbatore. The petitioner is also now staying with them taking care of the detenue.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives in this Habeas Corpus Petition. The Habeas Corpus Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (Crl.) /True copy/ Sub Assistant Registrar To 1.The Superintendent of Police, Tuticorin, Tuticorin District.
