The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to direct the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 23.5.2015 at night in connection with Arulmigu Sri Mariamman Kovil at Kumaran Kovil, Sekkilarpatti Panchayat, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the writ petitioner has given representation to the respondent on 11.5.2015. However, the respondent has not given any permission to the writ petitioner so far. 3.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I feel it is just and proper to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 11.5.2015.
