Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction in the nature of writ, forbearing the 2nd respondent from any manner by way of harassing or coercing or compelling the petitioner and his family members to appear before the 2nd respondent in and untimely illegal manner without following due process of law and pass such further or other order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.

O R D E R

The petitioner is praying for issuance of writ of writ of Mandamus to forbear the second respondent from harassing the petitioner and his family members.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the respondent police has conducted a raid and found certain persons are carrying illicit arrack and appropriate action has been taken and in the course of enquiry, it was found that the petitioner is not involved in the said group.

3. In the light of the stand taken by the respondents, the question of harassing or compelling the petitioner to appear before the respondents police does not arise and the petitioner need not be called by the second respondent for appearance.
