*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body or person of the detenu/petitioner's mother, namely, Ponnuthai, W/o.Palanivel, aged aged 72 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions from the second respondent police, reports that the mother of the petitioner was found dead in a coastal area at Rameshwaram and the dead body was identified by the relatives and handed over to the petitioner. reports that in this connection, initially, a case has been registered in Crime No.14 of 15 under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure Code and thereafter, it has been transferred to the Temple Police Station, Rameshwaram in Crime No.55 of 2015.
