Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 03.05.2015 and consequently to grant permission and approved license to start a chamber (brick works factory) in Survey No.886/1, having extent of 2 acres 13 Cents situated at Shanmugasundarapuram Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 03.05.2015 and consequently to grant permission and approved license to start a chamber (brick works factory) in Survey No.886/1, having extent of 2 acres 13 Cents situated at Shanmugasundarapuram Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District.

2. The petitioner has applied to the first respondent for grant of permission for the purpose of establishing a brick factory. The application is dated 22.04.2015 and the petitioner has remitted a sum of Rs.1,500/- said to be the application fee vide challan, dated 20.04.2015. That apart, the petitioner has also remitted a sum of Rs.1,000/- which has been received in the office of the Assistant Director of Geology and Mining, Theni. Since the application has not been considered till date, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that if the application is in order, reasonable time may be granted to the authorities to consider the same in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application

dated 22.04.2015 and if the same is in order, the first respondent shall pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
