: Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first respondent police to produce the body of Sureshkannan, Son of Subbaiah, aged 29 years, who was illegally detained by the respondents.

ORDER

****** (Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.) The petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition, seeking a direction to the first respondent police to produce the body of Sureshkannan, Son of Subbaiah, aged 29 years, who was illegally detained by the respondents.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions from the respondent police, submitted that the detenu has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Thanjavur, in connection with the case in Crime No.495 of 2016, on the file of Vallam Police Station.

3. Recording the above said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
