ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The respondent has levied penalty on the petitioner for illicit quarrying of mineral. The order is appealable. The petitioner is given four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to file an appeal before the appellate authority. If any appeal is filed within the time limit mentioned above, the appellate authority will entertain the same without reference to the limitation and disposed of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months thereafter. Till final order is passed by the appellate authority, the impugned order will not be implemented. If the petitioner fails to file an appeal from the aforesaid time limit, the benefit of the order will stand vacated automatically.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
