Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned Work Allotment Order issued by the third respondent through his proceeding in epU m3/17586:22 dated 24.03.2023 and to quash the same and consequently, direct the third respondent to pass Fresh Work Allotment Order appointing the petitioner in any one of the places in Theni District.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner was working as conductor in TNSTC, Kumbakonam Limited, Karaikudi Division. He came to TNSTC, Madurai Division by mutual transfer arrangement. Now, the petitioner wants to go to Theni. The petitioner questions the work allotment order issued by the third respondent.

3. I fail to understand as to how the work allotment order can be questioned when the petitioner is working under the third respondent. The petitioner does not have any legal right as such to insist that he should be 2/4

posted at Theni. These are matters which are left entirely to the discretion of the Management. The Writ Court will not be justified in giving any specific direction. It is for the employer to consider the petitioner's request.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
