*********** [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.] The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person or body of the detenu, namely, Sakthivel, S/o.Govindan, aged about 44 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents submitted that the detenu was arrested in connection with a case in Crime No.782 of 2016, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 170, 419, 420, 451 IPC @ 170, 120-B, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

395, r/w 397 IPC and Section 27 of the Indian Arms Act, 1959, produced before the Jurisdictional Magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
